Fourteen markers, what each one does, and — the part nobody prints — the condition under which each lies to you. Wrong cycle day. Wrong assay. Wrong time of morning.

Most confusing lab results are explained by that column, not by a hidden diagnosis.

What is inside

11 pages · PDF + calculator

A browser calculator for HOMA-IR, free androgen index and LH:FSH, in both unit systems.

  • Fourteen markers: what it measures, why it is on the panel, and the catch
  • The three calculations worked through in both unit systems
  • Seven results that warrant a same-week appointment, and what to say when you call
  • Why "normal but I feel terrible" usually has a boring explanation
  • A browser calculator that shows its working and refuses to interpret

Who this is not for

Most guides skip this. It is the most useful section on the page, because a guide that is wrong for you does not fail gently — it costs you a month and convinces you the problem is your willpower.

  • Anyone wanting a diagnosis — this explains what was measured, nothing more
  • Anyone looking for "optimal ranges". Where a threshold is quoted, the body that set it is named; where none exists, the book says so

This is education, not medical care

Nothing in this guide is a diagnosis, a prescription, or a treatment plan. Talk to a qualified clinician before acting on it — especially if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding, under 18, taking prescription medication, or living with an eating disorder.

Questions

Does this tell me what my results mean?
No, and it says so repeatedly. Interpretation needs your history, your medication, your cycle timing and a clinician.
Does it give me optimal ranges?
No. Reference ranges are not health thresholds, and inventing "functional" ones is exactly the trap this book names on page 10.
